About
Meet Stan Clouse
Clouse has served as the Mayor of Kearney since 2006 and is a 40+ year employee of Nebraska Public Power District. In addition to his official public service Stan is heavily involved in the Kearney and Buffalo County community including involvement in Rotary International, Leadership Kearney, TeamMates, Make-A-Wish, Junior Achievement and more. Stan is a member at New Life Church in Kearney.
During his time as Mayor, Clouse has helped deliver hundreds of millions in capital projects to Kearney and Buffalo County while at the same time keeping the lowest property tax levy among Nebraska’s first-class municipalities.
I’ve worked tirelessly to keep moving Kearney forward while protecting our conservative values. I’m proud of the work we’ve done to keep our taxes low and to consistently build Kearney’s economy. I’ve been honored to serve Kearney and I look forward to continuing to be a strong, conservative voice for our communities in Lincoln.”

TAXES
During my time as Mayor we have consistently held the lowest property tax levy of any first class city in the state by a wide margin. I’ll bring the same commitment to keeping taxes low to Lincoln so Nebraskans can keep more of their hard-earned money.

SUPPORTING AGRICULTURE
Agriculture is the backbone of Nebraska’s economy and I will be a tireless advocate for our farmers and ranchers. We need innovative solutions to help our state to continue to feed the country and the world.

PROTECT CHILDREN & DEFEND INNOCENT LIFE
I’m strongly pro-life and believe we need to protect Nebraska kids from the agenda of the radical left. In Lincoln I’ll work to oppose any roll back of pro-life bills and fight any bills that will force radical health standards on our schools.

GROWTH
Attracting new businesses and investments is critical to the continued growth of Nebraska’s economy and to lowering the tax burden on Nebraskans. As Mayor I’ve worked to bring developments including TechONE Crossing, the Central Nebraska Veteran’s Home, and the Kearney Sports Complex.

I will always protect our 1st and 2nd amendment rights guaranteed to us. Our Freedoms are what make America great and I will defend those Freedoms for all Nebraskans.

ENSURING QUALITY EDUCATIONS
Providing all of Nebraska’s children with the education they need to succeed is critical to the future of Nebraska’s economy. I strongly believe in doing all we can to ensure Nebraska’s kids are receiving a high quality education that prepares them for future success.
